Paul McCartney Marries Nancy Shevell

This is the third marriage for McCartney. He and first wife Linda married at this same Town Hall in 1969. She tragically died from breast cancer in 1998. This is Shevell's second marriage.
An adorable flower girl in a pink coat preceded the couple into the Town Hall, tossing white flower petals along their path.
Congratulations to them both!

The San Diego Chargerswatched (some would say helplessly) as Tim Tebowwhittled their 13-point halftime lead down to two points. Tebow ran one touchdown in from 12 yards. He hitKnowhon Moreno in the flat for another score in the fourth quarter. He completed two 20-plus yard passes with less than a minute to play.
The second-year quarterback rose from the ashes of league criticism — and the Denver Broncos bench — to execute a near-game winning comeback effort. But he and the Broncos fell just short as Tebow’s hail mary pass bounced off a number of Chargers whites and Broncos blue jerseys with no time left, and San Diego held on to win 29-25 in Week 5 action.
Barring injury, it marks the end of the Kyle Orton era in Denver, who was wholly ineffective in a 6 for 13, 34-yard, 1-int effort in the first half. Tebow will start from here on out.

Prayer For Steve Bartman

He is exactly the type of person who deserves seats in the second row just off the left field foul line, and exactly the type of person who rarely gets them anymore. No one knows how he procured the tickets, if he saved up a bunch of cash for the opportunity to watch the Cubs clinch a trip to the World Series. He wouldn't have been able to afford them, not at his salary, not at his job. He must have waited a long time. He must have felt that this was the year, and stowed away a little money this week, a little more that week, hoping this moment would come, preparing. My, how lucky he is! He has front row seats—well, second row—to the most important moment in Cubs baseball in 60 years. He has earned this. He's at the game by himself, for cripe's sake. Only diehards go to baseball games by themselves. Only the ones who truly, deeply care. Only people who think the other 21 hours of the day are just the time in between the first pitch and the last pitch. People like me. People like Bartman.
How excited he must be.

Jets-Patriots, Packers-Falcons Highlight Best Games

It's Week 5 in the NFL and we have 13 games this week as six teams have byes. There are three games this week I'm really, really excited to see: Jets-Patriots, Packers-Falcons and Bears-Lions. Those are my top three games right now

Happy Columbus Day

Happy Columbus Day, all! How is your holiday weekend going? Did you get a chance to shop the Blogger Tag Sale at One Kings Lane? I’m so happy to say all of my items sold except for one. I had no idea what (if anything!) would sell so I was thrilled with the outcome. Thank you so much for your support!

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell got married today in London.
The Beatles legend, 69, and New York businesswoman, 51, have been dating since 2007, after he divorced Heather Mills. They announced their engagement in May.
The couple were greeted with jubilation as they arrived at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, which was opened especially for the event. Here's a photo of the newlyweds:

Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed To Hospital In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES — Zsa Zsa Gabor has been hospitalized after slipping out of consciousness at her Los Angeles-area home.
Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, said Saturday that the actress had a high fever and was bleeding from a tube in her stomach.
Paramedics rushed Gabor from her Bel Air mansion to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.
The 94-year-old Gabor has been hospitalized repeatedly since July 2010, when she broke her hip falling from bed. Most of Gabor's right leg was amputated in January because of gangrene.
She appeared in films ranging from "Moulin Rouge" in 1952 to "Queen of Outer Space" in 1958. She also appeared on TV specials, game shows, and guest-starred on various TV series, often playing herself.
