Kate Hudson's long blond locks are an intrinsic part of her image, perhaps because she's the daughter of iconic blonde Goldie Hawn. So it's a little shocking to see her venture to the dark side, so to speak, for her role in Mira Nair's upcoming filmThe Reluctant Fundamentalist.

With her fair complexion and bright green-blue eyes, Kate manages to look kind of striking with the voluminous brunette curls. She's one of those women who could pull off lots of different hair hues, if she only wanted to. But she doesn't: These brown locks are only temporary, and the wig comes off before she leaves the set each evening.
